Jelenia Góra is more and more OFF--it is for the 13^th time that Filmowy Festiwal "ZOOM – ZBLIŻENIA” is held there. The city attracts creators from Poland and abroad, promotes art and film, and is gaining reputation as a cultural center.

On February 16-21 2010 we will ZOOM into the world of cinematography. A lot of events accompany the festival: workshops, discussion panels, special screenings, and--last but not least--the competition, for which films from 40 countries have been submitted, animated films, features, experimental forms, and documentaries alike.

A long-time KAN friend, Piotr Matwiejczyk, is one of the guests of ZOOM—ZBLIŻENIA Festiwal, where he is one of the organizers of Warsztaty Filmowe dla Młodych Twórców (Film Workshops for Young Artists). Matwiejczyk has received Bronze KANewka in 2004 for his Dzieci Kukurydzy, and Silver KANewka in 2005 for Między nami dzieciakami.
