July 12-17, in Poznań, another, 3rd, edition of animated film festival Animator will take place. The organizers call their festival the biggest and the most interesting international animated film festival in Poland. Over 500 films are screened during each edition of the festival, accompanied by workshops, surveys, discussions, retrospectives, and special screenings of the best in both Polish and foreign animated films. The festival centres around best animated film competition. Taking into account huge interest in this year's edition, the organizers decided to postpone the deadline for submissions till March 31 2010. The films are required not to exceed 30 minutes in length. The prizes are a huge incentive for participants -- this year's financial prizes sum up at several dozen thousand zlotys. You can find the regulations and the entry form here. Animator is a host to artists from all over the world.
