On January 19th, this year’s first KAN Special Screening will be held by the Discussion Film Club of Wrocław’s University of Technology. This time, we have decided to present a selection of animated films from the last two editions of KAN Festival.
Animated films are gaining in popularity with film enthusiasts. They are also technically better and better. Film makers have also largely turned to this seemingly trivial technique, and use it to make both easy and difficult films. That is why, during the 10th edition of KAN, we have introduced a new competition category. From that point, animated films also compete for KANewkas.

KAN at 'Świnokino Nie Ma Granic' Film Festival, 21-22 November 2009
KAN is on the road again. This time we have been invited to 'Świnokino Nie Ma Granic' Film Festival. There will be two Screenings of the best movies that have been screened at KAN and of some amateur and independent productions of Świnoujście directors—you could say that “Świnokino...” is KAN's younger brother.

KAN Special Screenings at Gumowa Różacommence! The first one will take place Wednesday, November 18th 2009 at 8:00 pm. We will show the best of KAN 2009, among others—the winner of the Documentary Film Competition, Paweł Wysoczański's documentary "W drodze" (“On the Road”), an amazing story of passion, perseverance, and the ability to find oneself under new circumstances (awards: Golden KANewka 2009 for a documentary film and the Viewer's KANewka 2009).

This annual film event was started in 2003. It is a film holiday in Nowa Ruda. Film screenings (for a couple of years already, KAN appears there as well with its Special Screenings), acrobatics, and meetings with actors and directors.

KAN Festival had the pleasure to be a guest of the biggest interdisciplinary festival in Poland — Slot Art Festival. KAN has taken a patronage over the fourth day of the festival, with screenings in the old cathedral of the Cisterian monastery, which are Slot's venue.
